Skirball summer music series goes documentary with a screening of this 2008 doc Ramblers, Roamers, Vagabonds—Parno Graszt.

The day before their L.A. debut concert at the Skirball, see this documentary about beloved Hungarian Gypsy musicians Parno Graszt. Widely known in Europe for their joyful music, Parno Graszt spent two weeks in Rajasthan, India, supposed motherland of the Roma people. There they met and played with local musicians, all the while tracing their roots and looking for familiar faces, customs, and melodies. Directed by Sandor Sillo. (Hungary, 2008, 60 min. No MPAA rating.)
