Blackberry Picking @ Local Farm!

I happily belong to a CSA, which basically means that twice a month (or more often/less often if I so choose) I get a tasty box of organic and locally grown deliciousness right at my doorstep. Now, it's not a super-cheap endeavor, but I've conceded that I'm much happier supporting locally grown produce farmers as opposed to spending the same amount (if not more) at the grocery store once a week on stuff that's been shipped here from far far away. Also, I think it's tastier. And I feel like I'm doing some good. So, soap box aside, my CSA, Farm Fresh To You, is hosting a fun Blackberry Picking day at the farm!  And we're all invited.  Bring a picnic lunch, roam through the blackberry bushes, avocado orchard and vegetable rows during this super-fun day on the farm! Picnic under the trees, pick blackberries all fresh-like for dessert, take a tour of the farm. Basically, do something you've never done before. It'll be fantastico.

The farm open house begins at 11am and a guided tour will begin at 11:30am with a trailer ride around the farm with the owners. This is a great chance to chat with Farm Fresh To You and other customers from the LA area.

Here's how to get there (Note: DO NOT use GPS or google maps - they will get you lost!)

-From I-15 S, go EAST on Old Castle Road

-Turn LEFT on Lilac Road (go ~5 miles)

-Turn RIGHT on Santa Catalina Road (you will see a sign that says "Stehly Farms Organics")

-When the road forks, stay straight (going past the tank with the "Stehly Farms" sign)

-Follow sign towards "Office/Loading Dock"Go past residence on right - staff and signs will direct you to parking
