Latin Sounds @ LACMA: Mandinga Afro-Peruvian Ensemble

Relax with Latin Sounds every Saturday from May through September at the Dorothy Collins Brown Amphitheater in Hancock Park (the park, not the neighborhood, at LACMA, just north of the museum) as world-renowned artists play the hottest sounds from Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Cuba, and Los Angeles. This week is Mandinga Afro-Peruvian Ensemble.

Under the leadership of Angelo Salazar, Mandinga has been performing across Southern California at leading clubs and festivals. Mandinga is a ten-piece ensemble of musicians representing the Afro-Peruvian culture. Their lively performances include rhythms such as Festejo, Alcatraz, Toro Mata, Lando, Zamacueca, and Panalivio.
